Introducing Seboff Display

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of our latest typeface, Seboff Display. While it will be a few more weeks before it's available, we couldn't wait to share this exciting news with you.

Seboff Display typeface delves into the enigmatic realm of ink traps. But what exactly are ink traps? Ink traps are a design technique employed in typography and graphic design to minimize ink smudging during the printing process. In an intriguing article by Toshi Omagari titled "Ink Traps and Pals" (https://tosche.net/blog/ink-traps-and-pals), the origins of ink traps can be traced back to the 1860s. Interestingly, the term "ink trap" is used to describe the problem rather than the solution it provides.

Ink traps serve a specific purpose and manifest in diverse forms and shapes. Seboff Display delves into the ornamental aspect of ink traps, exploring how far we can push the boundaries without compromising legibility. As a result, Seboff Display has evolved into a robust serif typeface, conveying a modern and refined aesthetic akin to a meticulously tailored, yet flamboyant suit.
